I. | G: | You mentioned gaming. How would you describe the relationship between young people’s protest activities and the gaming world they come from? |
M: | I think people bring their own life experience into real life. If you only ever gamed alone, you might not necessarily make that connection. But online gaming is often team-based—people share experiences. And that’s powerful, turning something that’s often scolded as “useless” into something concrete and useful, even turning fantasy scenarios into reality. | |
II. | M: | Because even if we had universal suffrage, without a civil society, we wouldn’t know how to use it. So building that civil society began right there. People formed groups—some thrived, some folks fell through the cracks if they lacked a group. But others flourished, creating local screening events and discussion circles. In that sense, “Harcourt Village” or “villagers” shows that though originally we were all separate, we could come together. |
I. | G: | 你説起打機,你怎樣形容一些抗爭的事跟年輕人打機的世界連起來的? |
M: | 我想任何人都是將自己的生活經驗放在現實生活裏... 我想現在你這樣問,要多謝互聯網,原來可以一起打機,如果只是自己打機,其實未必會連接到,因為你自己打機[只會]自己做。那因爲大家有個團隊,他們都有些經歷,在那裏一起做些甚麼,我覺得這件事很厲害,將一些被人罵廢的事變成一些實際而有幫助... 除了有幫助之外實際上可以令到一些幻想中的事變成真實 | |
II. | M: | 因為如果沒有公民社會,其實有個雙普選給我我不會懂得如何選的。所以公民社會的發展就是在那裡作為一個起點,然後我知道有兩批人的... 完了之後有一批人是很慘,因為他的生活圈子是不存在我剛才說過那一群... 你還有一班人可以跟你聯繫或者你會去參加一些公民社會發展的活動,他們沒有。有些人很不開心,很慘,或者不知道什麼原因,但是另外一個就是很蓬勃,社區放映,就是... 就是一些討論會,什麼都傳嗎,就是什麼都你想不到的東西都會有... 我覺得由那裡開始是其實夏慤村這個 terms以至去到村民這個東西背後是反映到其實原本大家都是各自為政,但是可以有一個聯繫在裡面 |
